Dr. Noemi Mena Montes

Dr. Noemi Mena Montes is an Assistant Professor at Radboud University and a faculty member of the Master’s programme in Global Communication and Diversity. Affiliated with RUNOMI and the Centre for Language Studies, her work connects journalism, digital and new media education, migration, and inclusion.

Her community work includes connections with the Re-Starter Foundation, which brings newcomers together in the Netherlands, and the African Development Media Network, supporting online projects that amplify stories by African journalists. She also developed the Digital Newcomers Programme to support refugee women’s digital literacy, autonomy, and community participation.
