Dr. Luis Miguel Rojas-Berscia is Assistant Professor and Programme Coordinator of the Spanish Language and Culture BA at Radboud University. As an anthropological sociolinguist, his research draws on first-hand data collected in the Peruvian Amazon, Australia's Great Sandy Desert, and the Netherlands. He is currently documenting Ajebeko, an Amazonian language spoken in the Peruvian Amazon, and Irires, an East-Bird's Head language spoken in West Papua. Since 2025, he has held the title of City Linguist of Nijmegen.
